We know that we slipped up this year. > I am not sure of the best place to add this for future GUADECs, but > maybe https://wiki.gnome.org/GUADEC/HowTo/CheckList would be suitable? It wouldn't harm! It is noted down in the board wiki pages, but it obviously got missed this year. In the future, I'd like us to have a calendar with deadlines in the run up to GUADEC... I have a number of questions about the events Code of Conduct. Is there another way to submit questions rather than only during the AGM? The reason for asking is that in my experience the time during the AGM is stretched every year. So it seems unlikely that I will be able to ask more than a single questions during the Q period. Hi Allan On 2018-07-03 14:48, Allan Day wrote: As usual, this year's GNOME Foundation Annual General Meeting will be taking place as part of GUADEC. The details are as follows: - Time: 16:30 - Date: Saturday 7th July 2018. - Location: The Auditorium, University of AlmerĂa, Spain The meeting will include an introduction to the new Board of Directors, a report on the previous 12 months, and a Q session with the board. According to the bylaws of the Foundation (Section 7.4), 30 days notice is required for an AGM, whereas this notice only gives 4 days notice. I suppose that there will not be any issues for the membership to vote on, so maybe it does not make much difference. GNOME Foundation opens recruitment for further expansion
Hi all, I've just posted the following item to our site: https://www.gnome.org/news/2018/07/gnome-foundation-opens-recruitment-f or-further-expansion/ tl;dr: we're recruiting! We're currently looking to fill four posts: * Development Coordinator This will ensure that we receive sufficient funds to continue our work delivering free software - it should be noted that this isn't a software development coordinator! * Program Coordinator The Program Coordinator will free up time from those involved in organizational, administrative and logistical problems * Devops/Sysadmin The systems and services we run need proper maintenance and care. As Flathub continues to grow, more support is needed to achieve this. * GTK+ core developer GTK+ is core to our entire platform. Investing in development and maintenance of this toolkit will benefit the whole GNU/Linux ecosystem. We're keen to hear from any person who is interested in applying for one of these posts. Details on how to apply and the application deadlines can be found on the Foundation’s Positions Available page at https://www.gnome.org/foundation/careers/ I hope everyone is having an awesome time at GUADEC, Neil -- Neil McGovern Executive Director, The GNOME Foundation ___ foundation-list mailing list foundation-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/foundation-list
