Re: Software freedom day
Hi, We're a little late on the get-go, but I think we should do something for Software Freedom Day - http://softwarefreedomday.org/ - September 10th this year. FWIW, some Dutch and Belgian GNOME volunteers will be present at a local SFD event in Tilburg, The Netherlands. As a side note, we are planning to have our own localized Live CD's and promotional materials printed, but we're having trouble funding it all. Is there some place we might ask for assistance? regards, -- Reinout van Schouwen *** student of Artifical Intelligence email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]*** mobile phone: +31-6-44360778 www.vanschouwen.info *** help mee met GNOME vertalen: nl.gnome.org ___ foundation-list mailing list foundation-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/foundation-list
Vote for Anne
Hello all, On Thu, 24 Nov 2005, Anne ?stergaard wrote: As a female user above 30, I think I can help reach a large segment which GNOME doesn't reach now. Last year, when I expressed my disappointment with the fact that Anne wasn't elected in the board, people said I should have spoken up earlier. This year we have the same situation. So here it is: Anne, besides having excellent qualifications for board membership, is the only woman among the candidates. For me, this is an extra reason to vote for her. While, for reasons beyond our control, the developer base of the GNOME project is predominantly male, I think everyone would agree that we target men, women (and everything in between ;) equally as users. It would be good to try and reflect this in the composition of the board. regards, -- Reinout van Schouwen___ foundation-list mailing list foundation-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/foundation-list

What you are looking for is Mathusalem: http://tw.apinc.org/weblog/2006/08/22 I'm not sure why it wasn't proposed for 2.18 (or was it?) but hopefully we could get it in 2.20. PS Is the Foundation list the right place to discuss this? regards, -- Reinout van Schouwen http://vanschouwen.info/ ___ foundation-list mailing list foundation-list@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/foundation-list
Question to Shaun McCance
Dear Shaun, It has come to my attention that you are running for the Gnome board again this year. In the past year and a half, I have tried to contact you in your role of treasurer on multiple occasions to talk about a small leftover issue from Guadec 2010, through multiple channels (irc, email, even Google+). Not once did I get a reply from you. If you are elected, what will you do to improve communications with foundation members? regards, -- Reinout van Schouwen ___ foundation-list mailing list foundation-list@gnome.org https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/foundation-list
