Self Introduction: Kunal Jain

2016-03-28 Thread kunaal jain
Hi,

I recently became foundation member and the welcome mail told it is
good idea to introduce myself on this list. Over the past year I have
been associated with GNOME as contributor to Polari and many of you
guys must be knowing me :)

I will also be giving talk on Polari in GNOME.ASIA summit this year
and looking forward to meet many of you there.

I am available on #gnome-hackers and #polari with nick kunaaljain.

Looking forward to get more involved :)

Self introduction

2014-04-27 Thread Oliver Propst
Hi, my name is Oliver Propst [1], I'm a new foundation member. I have
contributed to the marketing efforts of GNOME (as part of the
Engagement Team) since around 2010.

Beside my GNOME contributions I'm also involved with the Mozilla
community [2] and organizing the free software/society conference
FSCONS [3] (which Karen keynoted last year).

Other interests includes exercise, take pictures [4] and read comics [5].

Professionally I work as a public school teacher, although this
semester I'm attending a course at the University here in Gothenburg,
Sweden where I live.

I look forward to continue contribute to the Engagement Team efforts
and collaborate with the rest of the GNOME community.

Self Introduction

2012-03-07 Thread Giovanni Campagna
Hello fellow GNOMErs!

I just received the acceptance mail from the membership committee and
I must say I'm enthusiastic to be now a member of the Foundation. It's
great to be part of GNOME, and I consider membership like a badge
honor :).
Some of you already know me for my annoying comments in bugzilla, or
because they have to fix my bugs. In any case, I'm one of gnome-shell
and gjs developers, with a focus on extensions and system status
stuff.
In Real Life, I'm a 20-year-old student of engineering at Politecnico
in Milan. I'm the standard nerd kind, I just love to hack and see
things that magically work.
I don't usually do IRC, because of timezone constraint and because I
often do multiple things at the same time, so I try to avoid
preemptive communication styles. You can contact me via mail though.

Again, I'm very happy to be part of this project, and I'll try to help
GNOME anyway I can (which includes mostly coding, but well).
