Re: RAM
The AW51B is a Sun SPARC 5. I am only aware of 32MB RAM (SIMMs or DIMMs ??) being available. You should consider 64MB to be the minimum, but 128MB is recommended especially if you are running FoxView/FoxDraw. hafedh ghodhbani [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Foxboro DCS Mail List Sent by: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED]cc: oject.org Subject: RAM 08/31/01 05:44 PM Please respond to Foxboro DCS Mail List Gents, What are the different possible RAM chips and sizes that an AW51B might has ? Disabling Return Receipt Notification in lotus Notes
I have found an easy way to disable the Return Receipt Notifications that we seem to be having problems with. This works for Lotus Notes 5: 1. Open the Create menu and choose Agent 2. Change the Name to Disable Return Receipt Notification 3. Change when should it run to After new mail has arrived 4. Click the Add Action button near the bottom 5. Choose @Function Formula in the Action box 6. Paste the text below into the box FIELD ReturnReceipt:= ReturnReceipt; FIELD Subject:= Subject; @If(@IsAvailable(ReturnReceipt); @If(ReturnReceipt = 1; @Do( @SetField(ReturnReceipt; 0); @SetField(Subject; ** INFO: DISABLED \Return Receipt\ ** + Subject)); ); ); SELECT @All 7. Hit Escape and select Save Now whenever an email is received that requests a return receipt, the subject will be changed to include ** INFO: DISABLED Return Receipt ** at the start, and the return receipt will not be sent. -- Jeremy Milum Huntsman -- Austin Labs 7114 North Lamar Blvd. Austin, TX 78752 Phone: 512-483-0928 Fax: 512-302-6904 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- This list is neither sponsored nor endorsed by the Foxboro Company. Re: File system error massege
Hello I guess the obvious answer is that the disk drive is full in one of the partitions. Type df -kF ufs and see which is at 100%. My guess would be the /var partition. If so, go to the /var/tmp directory and see what is growing absurdly. Thats a start. Re: File system error massege
If you suspect a disk is full, first you need to determine which mount point is full. From vt100 mode try the following df -k / df -k /usr df -k /var df -k /opt df -k /tmp If any of these are show 100% under the capacity, then that's the file system with the problem. Start looking for the usual suspects like core files, crash files, tar files, or log files that grow forever. Now start drilling through the disk using the du command to find these really large files, if they can safely be deleted, whack them. RE: RAM
Since I'm not a lawyer (thank God!), I'll leave the contractual nuances and obligations to you all to consider, but we've upgraded RAM in some of our Sun workstations by buying them direct. Our boxes didn't self-destruct. A reliable source (which was recommended here a while ago) is MemoryX. I have no connection with it other than being a satisfied customer. For the B-style boxes, check these pages out: Memory for Sparc5: http://www.memoryx.net/sparc5.html House-brand memory: http://www.memoryx.net/ss532.html Sun-manufactured memory: http://www.memoryx.net/5012471.html http://www.memoryx.net/5953346.html For the D/E-style boxes, start here: http://www.memoryx.net/memx/ultrasparc1.html Hope this helps. We just got an estimate for how much Foxboro would charge to upgrade our 4 WP's and 1 AW to 256 MB of RAM. It was on the order of $20K plus. We all know materials is 1/20 of the total installed cost. My question is since RAM is readily available what would Foxboro's stance be if we upgraded ourselves? We have a service agreement with them. Would it be all bets are off or would RAM problems be unsupported or would all future problems be blamed on RAM? Maybe I shouldn't ask but I find this cost ridiculous. It would be a tremendous performance boost but I can't justify it as a stand alone upgrade. We are going to have to tie it to a software upgrade to capitalize it. RE: Disabling Return Receipt Notification in lotus Notes
Thanks, Jeremy. For those of you using Microsoft Outlook, follow these steps to disable request of or reply to these notifications by default. They may not be exactly like these steps (which are for Outlook 2000), but you get the idea: Tools | Options... on the Preferences tab, pick E-mail Options... button on the subsequent dialogue box, pick Tracking Options... and uncheck: Process requests and responses on arrival Process receipts on arrival Request a read receipt for all messages I send Request a delivery receipt for all messages I send If you really want to request a receipt for your message, you can still request it on a per-message basis. How to do this is left as an exercise to the interested readers. RE: File system error massege
df -k | grep dsk -Original Message- From: David Johnson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, September 04, 2001 9:45 AM To: Foxboro DCS Mail List Subject: Re: File system error massege If you suspect a disk is full, first you need to determine which mount point is full. Good luck, David --- This list is neither sponsored nor endorsed by the Foxboro Company. Period-Phase
Hi All, BPC of Our Modicon Gateway--MG is 1 sec. Now that in any block of that MG while I am setting Period as 4 ,Detail display if particular block is showing period as 10 sec and while I am setting Period as 5 detail display is showing Period as 30 sec. But Perid-Phase Parameter report using dbvu -s for that MG shows as below Period 0 1 2 3 4 5 67 CP-sec 10 30 Gateway 4 8 As shown it is different for CP MG. But in detail display it shows according to CP.So what is the actual scan time? In CP It takes Period as 4 ad Phase from 0 to 9 but in MG it takes Period as 4 and Phase from 0 to 3 only.Same for Period 5 also For CP It takes phase upto 29 and for MG upto 7 only. So I think what ever is seen in detail display og Block Of MG is wrong and is according to CP Only. Anybody is having the same condition? This create importance because we had one trip and timimg of alarm s were not matching and we thought according period of detail display. What is to done to correct the same? _ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp --- This list is neither sponsored nor endorsed by the Foxboro Company. Re: Remote Backups of AW70
What do you mean with remote backups? Take control of the remote 70 series station and make a backup (local or remote) or Take local control of the 70 series station and make the backup to remote location (a server for example)?
