FYI, apparently FPC works with MIPS through cross-compiling but Lazarus does not, based on this: http://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/index.php/topic,30500.msg194153.html MIPS will be important in future. I may get a MIPS gadget myself for testing. It would be nice to have a maintainer who builds FPC binaries for MIPS. Who volunteers? Maybe you? :) Juha ___ fpc-pascal maillist - fpc-pascal@lists.freepascal.org http://lists.freepascal.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/fpc-pascal

To build fpc executables for MIPS, I have to do cross-compiling? You're right that Debian does not package a MIPS build of FPC. If you want to use it, you'll indeed have to build it yourself through cross-compiling (and/or file a request with Debian to also build and package FPC for MIPS). As a matter of fact, I usually get the latest version of fpc from the download site of Lazarus. The reason I ask is that I expect to get non-intel architecture (armhf, mips etc.) builds of fpc-3.
