I became certified last January for Framemaker 7. I was disappointed to find out that there is not a community or list of certified individuals available from Adobe (or at least they never helped me hook up with any of them); they only seem to maintain a list publically for those people who take the training certification. That requires additional hours to demonstrate that you have Trainer experience. Anyway, good luck on the test! And this is exactly what I am going to do. :-) I believe the .joboptions files have moved around some in recent releases, but I don't recall the details. Just a note: Even after making the suggested changes the warning will still show, but only the first time for each type of undo. Linking to PDFs from Frame
I know this has been asked 8 billion times, but I can't access the Frameusers.com search function. We're moving slowly and painfully to a DITA solution, so we have stuff in FrameMaker, and stuff in XML. We have a pure XML DITA tool set (not FrameMaker for DITA) and FrameMaker 7.1. I have one chapter that's in XML that we use our tools to turn into a PDF. I then will add this PDF to the end of a PDF generated from our FrameMaker source. I know I can add bookmarks in Adobe Acrobat. I know that I can use a hypertext marker message openfile pathname to open a PDF. 1. Is there a way to open to a specific heading in a PDF? 2. If I add the XML source PDF to the end of a FrameMaker source PDF in Adobe Acrobat to create a single PDF, is there a way to create/keep Xrefs? Thanks! Zoë Choose the right car based on your needs. How to import Autocad2000 into FM?
What is the best way to import Autocad2000 into FrameMaker. Current procedure used involves unusual amount of work, i.e., convert cad file to pdf, open in Illustrator and cleanup lines so that they aren't fuzzy in destination FM pdf file. Any suggestions are appreciated.
