RE: justification in structured FrameMaker

2008-04-20 Thread Cindy Maisannes
Thanks, Lester -- I spoke to Rick Quatro just a little while ago about
this, and you have confirmed what he was able to show me: that the
paragraph/text range setup in the EDD may provide the key to the
problem. I appreciate both of your help!

Best,
Cindy

Cindy -

How is your EDD setup for the Ref element and its sub-elements? Are
they defined as paragraphs or text ranges? Do you have inherited
formatting, or do you specify defined paragraph and/or character styles?

Because formatting is the realm of the EDD, it is more far more
important to know its content than the XML structure to be able to
answer this question.

RE: Paragraph Designer - Next Pgf Tag

2008-04-20 Thread Lief Erickson
This has been my experience, too. I find it terribly annoying because
I've designed my templates specifically with some paragraphs that are
blank.

Typing text into the paragraph makes the next paragraph feature work.
Leaving the paragraph empty simply repeats the current paragraph tag.

I seem to remember a recent discussion that concluded the Next pgf tag
function only works properly when the previous pgf is not empty. Type
some text, then press Enter, and you get the correct Next pgf.
