topic sort utility?
I have a 250-page command reference document with 400 topics in alphabetical order by command name (Heading 1 tag). The commands have been renamed so I need to resort. Are there utilities that can automate that? There are lots of tables and other formatting so exporting to another format, sorting, and importing back would be challenging. FrameMaker 10.

FM serial number problems
Due to some real snafu's at my company regarding mix-ups of what FrameMaker CD was installed on what computer, I have little faith on even if the correct CD's are in the various plastic cases with serial numbers. Therefore, is there any way to determine the serial number of any particular installation. Adobe telephone support says no. (Cripe!) This is what happens when the IT manager is nowhere near what an IT mgr should be and didn't bother to record a darn thing after ordering and installing software. He's also a big fan of cheaping out and purchasing corporate software like this on e-bay. -- Ken in Atlanta -- next part -- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Auto Spell Checker - turning back on?
FM 10 ( all patched and current) and Win 7, 64-bit. After installing FM 10 a few months ago, and changing just two default settings (Tooltips set to Hidden and Show Warnings while clearing History), I began using FM 10 w/ out any major issues. The Auto Spell Check function was working as is out of the box (incorrectly spelled words automatically underlined with a red squiggly line, etc.) and I enjoyed this feature rather than having to manually run the spell check function. Somehow, this Auto Spell Check function got cleared and I am not sure how. I noticed this today when I saw an incorrectly spelled word ("inlcudes" instead of "includes") was not underlined w/ a red squiggly line.) I went to Edit > Spell Checker and selected Automatic Correction, but I still no longer apparently have this Auto Spell Check function enabled. I have closed all my open files, rebooted FM, and reopened files that I know have misspellings (intentional ones to see if they would be automatically flagged), and they are not. stability WAS: FYI: Deal for upgrading from FM7.x to FM10 ends June 15
In contrast, we're using FM10 on WinXP and are seeing multiple crashes. We upgraded from FM7 which was stable as a rock. We think the new features in FM10 make it worth the upgrade, but we're not totally convinced! Cheers Rebecca >>> "Syed Zaeem Hosain (Syed.Hosain at aeris.net)" >>> 16/06/12 16:48 >>> I am using FM 10 on a Windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit laptop system (also with 8 GB of RAM) and do not have any issues. Of course, it runs as a 32 bit application even though the OS is 64 bit. So, I would definitely agree with FM 10 being more stable compared to FM 7.2, 8 or 9. All those others had occasional funny behavior and crashes - with FM10, it is *very* rare to see any crash issues. As an entirely separate point, FWIW, I still don't like the new UI in the recent versions of FM (that Adobe seems to have standardized in their other tools too), but have become a bit used to it now ... albeit still with a heavy sigh.
