New and improved FrameMaker 11 related documentation now available
Hello everyone, Hope you are well. I am pleased to announce the availability of 3 key new and improved FrameMaker related documentation. 1. We have provided documentation on couple of .ini files that come with FrameMaker. The first of these files is maker.ini, which has several flags through which you can control various aspects of FrameMaker. In addition, we are also providing documentation on the new ditafm-output.ini file in FrameMaker 11. Thought the flags in this file, you can generate professional looking PDF output easily from your DITA content (e.g. you have options for automatically generating TOC/ Index, setting numbering options, specifying templates etc.) a. Bookmarking when printing to PDF
Hi Framers, So, I know how to create bookmarks when I SAVE to a PDF, but saving to PDF is unreliable for me, as I know it is for most of you. Table Navigation shortcut keys, Frame 10
I'm having an interesting issue with using shortcut navigation keys in tables. All of them work EXCEPT for moving to the cell in the row above or below the current row. Naturally, right now those are the ones I want to use! Anyone have an idea what might cause this? It's installed on my hard drive and has all of the updates. There are no plugins (sob!). You set them up in the on the Bookmarks tab of the PDF Setup dialog box. AFAIK, there are two ways to access this dialog box. . File Print Book PDF Setup (make sure to select Generate Acrobat Data). . Select the book file in the document manager, and go to Format Document PDF Setup Bookmarks tab. I've found saving to PDF 100% reliable since I think FM6, so long as Adobe PDF is the selected printer, but if you want to go through the print dialog, check Generate Acrobat Data in the print dialog. I've encountered a wide variety of keyboard navigation bugs in FM10. One thing I found that helped was sticking with the default workspace. But Esc tmd/u don't work for me. I'm having an interesting issue with using shortcut navigation keys in tables. All of them work EXCEPT for moving to the cell in the row above or below the current row. Naturally, right now those are the ones I want to use! Anyone have an idea what might cause this? It's installed on my hard drive and has all of the updates. There are no plugins (sob!).
