Revision Bars that Appear in Document Footers (Not on Master Page)

2007-01-11 Thread Catudal & Rousseau
Hi:

We need to apply ripple revision bars to individual pages of a document to
indicate that data has moved but has not changed. Is it possible by way of
an attribute on any given element on a page to generate a revision bar that
appears to be located in the document footer, but that is not on the Master
Page?

Thanks!

Louise

Displaying a Portion of an Attribute Value

2006-12-22 Thread Catudal & Rousseau
Hi Art:

Here is an example:

I would like to display a portion of an element's REFLOC value, for example,
this element with attribute values - to be displayed Wiring Manual Chapter 20 - so I would
like to display the numerical value of the REFLOC attribute with a prefix.

Thanks.

Could you give a for-instance or example? What are you trying to do?

Can an Element be a Container and a System Variable

2006-12-13 Thread Catudal & Rousseau
Hello Framers:

Can an element be a container and a system variable at the same time? I
would like to generate the Chapter-Section-Subject in the footer of the page
from the
attributes of the subject element.

If this is possible an example would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Louise
