Re: disagreement on overrides

2008-06-13 Thread Gail Former
Do not rule out ignorance as a reason for overrides. Is the other writer
fully trained in FrameMaker? It is possible that their training was OJT
at another assignment, and they never learned how to use Frame properly.
It is also possible that the templates that you have are not properly
documented, so that the other writer is not fully aware of what is
available.

Just my two cents.

default "reply-to-all" (was Re: FrameMaker 8.0.3 Update Now Available (POSSIBLE WORKAROUND))

2008-05-16 Thread Gail Former
Interesting. I'm on 22 different email lists, and this is the only one
with that particular behavior that I'm aware of. As I mostly lurk, the
issue has never come up for me before.

That's strange - I'm sure that last time I looked at that page it was
the V8 manual.

and yet another dumb question

2007-09-18 Thread Gail Former

Hi All

I have just had the trial version of FM 8 added to my applications, and
wonder where the Structured Application Developer's Guide went. Is it no
longer available? Not furnished with the trial version? Somewhere else?

If someone could point me to it, I would be grateful.

Thanks
