Strangely enough, there is no mention of FrameMaker 8.0.1 anywhere

Hello -

My name is Lane Aijian Anderson and I graduated from the college of A E in
1978. I am in need of some course descriptions to satisfy the community college
where I am applying to be an adjunct. How do I access course descriptions from
1974 - 1978? I noticed that the on line catalogues only go back into the late
90's and I couldn't find a course description request form anywhere. Thanks so
much for your help.

I don't know if you are the right person to be addressing but I couldn't find
another line to DNA!

Thanks again, Lane

Need 8 Install Help

2007-08-07 Thread Randall Larson-Maynard
Mike

Yes, I tried that.

I finally got a tech guy. And basically he won't tell me what registry key to
delete. Heaven forbid he should help a customer under since I might post the
information on how to get past the reg key issue. Not!

Not my best Adobe experience in the last ten years of being a Frame user.

Did you uninstall the beta first? I'm pretty sure that's a typical problem when
installing a different version on top of a beta with Adobe products. It doesn't
get rid of whatever keys track the beta expiration.

RE: FrameMaker 8 and Plugins

2007-08-06 Thread Randall Larson-Maynard
I did 8 beta testing and Toolbar Express Plus for 7.2 worked perfect in 8.

They have closed the prerelease discussion area, so I can't go back in a get all
the plug-in information.

I remember that Archive did not work, but very few others did not work.

Beta 8 expired yesterday. I downloaded the trial 8 copy and installed. All went
fine.

Started program, get splash screen for trial and since I have not gotten a code
yet, I click Continue Trial and then Next. I get a small dialog box that says
Product license has expired.

Greatso I call India for support and they tell me to delete all temp files.
I do that, plus all the chk files. Still won't open past dialog box.

I tried setting my PC's clock, but then I get the same screen wanting a code,

RE: Wrapping TOC, extra tabs not quite solving all problems

2006-09-16 Thread Randall Larson-Maynard

Linda

I am interested in a real auto solution to this issue. It crops up now
and then and now it has cropped up again. None of the tips others have
left for you work for me either.

I tried the plugin...but for me I might as well just remember to stick in
manual breaks at the end of the process. Not much difference for me. It's
not graceful, but it needs to be done.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I received lots of great ideas, but none
worked given the 6 x 9 page size and very long headings, except for the TOC
Breaker plug-in http://www.telecable.es/personales/cud/cssIndex.htm. I
installed that, played with it a bit, and got it to fix the problems. Not
totally automatic (you have to select two menu options while in the toc file
and after updating the book), but I think I can remember to that when I do
the final update.

Thanks all for the help and thanks, Chris, wherever you are these days, for
the free plug-in that does this.
