Hi Caroline, I am not sure without seeing the characters. You can change the default for the clipboard in the [Preferences] section of the maker.ini file: ClipboardFormatsPriorities=FILE, MIFW, MIF, RTF, OLE 2, META, EMF, DIB, BMP, UNICODE TEXT, TEXT The most useful thing is to have unicode text listed first, so that you don't have to use Paste Special. I'm at a loss. Would you be willing to send me directly a Word file with the problematic text? It's hard to diagnose without that. A look at the MIF file might provide a clue, although at this point I'm not sure what you'd need to look for. Was it showing up as text question marks or those black diamonds with the white question mark inside? Hi I am working with Frame 2017 I am copying some things from Word 2013 to the document If I choose Paste Special/Text when I paste, there are strange question marks in the pasted material.
