Re: [Framers] Windows 10 cursors and Adobe products
Perhaps scaling, but not so the mouse pointers and cursors. I am using the 2019 version on Windows 10 and Frame has its own cursors and pointers, ignoring anything you configure at the OS level. It's insanely annoying as the cursor gets lost (for me) in the text, and there's nothing I can do to make it larger or a contrasting color. The mouse pointer changes from Adobe's default tiny black cursor to your OS-level settings when you mouse out of the document window to access floating pods and while utilizing those pods, but as soon as you're back in the document window, it's back to Adobe's rigid UI settings. Frame is incredibly accessibility-hostile IMO. -Dan -Original Message- From: Framers On Behalf Of Reng Winfried Sent: Tuesday, April 27, 2021 12:38 AM To: An email list for people using Adobe FrameMaker software. Re: [Framers] Windows 10 cursors and Adobe products
Hi, Yes. In Acrobat the mouse pointer size is ignored. You could create a bug report here: https://tracker.adobe.com/#/home However, in FM 2020 a large mouse pointer is still large. You cannot expect that FM 2017 would be fixed. Was using a large point with trails. Trying out an alternative to see if it is easier to folloe. [Framers] Windows 10 cursors and Adobe products
Hello, Windows 10 allows for mouse cursor pointers to be customised, and so I when I give training course, I like to use a larger mouse pointer, and colour it so that you can see it more easily when your video output it for a projector. The larger mouse pointers work well on many applications. Except Adobe. * Adobe Acrobat Reader shows the large size & coloured mouse pointer at the expected size when viewing Help > About Adobe Acrobat Reader, or when accessing dialogs, such as Edit > Preferences.
