Unless you are running Windows 2000 (or earlier) OR
you don't apply the Windows XP updates from Microsoft
in a timely fashion, you don't need to do anything.
The fix is already applied to your system in Windows XP
and the change was built into Windows Vista.

Daylight savings 3 weeks earlier in US

2007-02-21 Thread Charles Beck
I've heard about this and can't help but wonder why MS can't develop and
issue a patch that would fix the calendar/date functionality in Windows.
Anyone care to offer a non-cynical speculation? (I'm cynical enough to
handle that requirement by myself...)

Daylight savings 3 weeks earlier in US

2007-02-22 Thread Dan Gallagher
I subscribe to this group to expose myself to frame since I don't use it.

The reason I leave the auto daylight feature turned off is because with
Quark, a time change means all figures have changed and need to be
reimported. Granted that's an automatic feature, but it's burned me in the
past. It's just not worth it.. It doesn't matter to me whether my doc
stamps are off by an hour.

Cheers,
