Mif2go - suddenly some graphics files won't import when creating HTML
Hi Everyone, I'm suddenly having a problem with Mif2go. All of a sudden graphics files have stopped importing on some book files when I'm creating a HTML file. Others import just fine. The graphics files are in the same folder, have the same format - I can't find a difference between them that would cause this behavior. I've tried embedding the files instead of referencing them, but that doesn't help. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Can you provide some more info such as your version of FM, MIF2Go, graphics file formats, and OS? And are these books/files you have successfully converted before or new ones? Re: Mif2go - suddenly some graphics files won't import when creating HTML
I had a similar problem my graphics when I had MIF2GO create graphics. I had an expert look over the INI file and he could not find the problem. He said this happened to him once in the past and he could not solve it until he made the INI file from scratch. In the end I solved the problem by having MIF2GO use the existing graphics instead of creating new graphics. It's faster to have MIF2GO use the existing graphics, although you have to make sure that callouts are in the graphic itself (using Visio or PowerPoint and saving as PNG or GIF). This was a long time ago so I don't remember all the details. -- Regards, Shmuel Wolfson Technical Writer Susan OConnor wrote: Hi Everyone, I'm suddenly having a problem with Mif2go. RE: Mif2go - suddenly some graphics files won't import when creating HTML
Susan, You need to check three things: 1. Open one of the HTML files in a text editor and see where the graphics are supposed to be. Search for an img tag. The path of the expected graphics location will be there. 2. Check the GraphPath=../graphics entry in your mif2htm file. 3. If you are using the Automation WrapPath= option. If you are, the GraphPath option should build a folder under the wrap folder containing your graphics. I would expect the first item will give you the best clue as to what is happening. -Original Message- From: framers-boun...@lists.frameusers.com [mailto:framers-boun...@lists.frameusers.com] On Behalf Of Susan OConnor Sent: Thursday, April 30, 2009 1:57 PM To: framers@lists.frameusers.com Subject: Mif2go - suddenly some graphics files won't import when creating HTML Hi Everyone, I'm suddenly having a problem with Mif2go.
