As a point of general interest, it seems that for 64-bit
Windows you need to install the conversion DLLs and EXEs
in \windows\SysWOW64 as well as (or instead of?) the
usual \windows\system32.

The "aa" is the FileID from mif2go.ini, and the lack of it on the
images means that one component DLL couldn't find that ini file.
Make sure that the path to it in [FDK]IDFileName is correct *and*
is absolute (since it has to work from unpredictable locations).
Normally this only happens if you create a project in one place,
then move it to another, but don't correct the paths in [FDK].

Well, actually, it's the Free Framers mailing list that carries lots
of general FM questions, although there is a higher percentage of
MIF2Go traffic there than on this list.

There's also the possibility of other MIF2Go users answering before
Jeremy gets around to it.

OFF-FM [Mif2Go] - HTML pages contain wrong links to images

2009-10-21 Thread mathieu jacquet

Hi all,

I do not know if a forum dedicated to Mif2Go issues exists, so I am posting my
request here.

I am using FM7.2 and Mif2Go on 64-bit Vista (no comment).

HTML pages generated by Mif2Go contain links to images such as
"C:/EclipseHelpFolder/aa0fxxx.jpg". The problem is that I do not have any
"aa0fxxx.jpg" images in my folder, only "0fxxx.jpg", and as a result images
won't display. Where does this "aa" prefix come from? Is this a .ini conf
problem?

Thank you all for your support,

Mathieu.

The forum dedicated to Mif2Go is its maker, omsys.com, who is
consistently lauded for timely, personal e-mail response to its

OFF-FM [Mif2Go] - HTML pages contain wrong links to images

2009-10-21 Thread David Spreadbury
Mathiue,
I periodically run into this problem. What I have done to correct it is to
delete the three Mif2Go generated configuration files, mif2go.ini,
projectname.lst, and projectname.prj and rerun the Setup Mif2Go step (File >
Setup Mif2Go).

The aa, ab, etc., are references to the chapters. For instance, typically,
aa reflects Chapter 1, ab Chapter2, etc., and should be listed in the
mif2go.ini file.

I am sure that Jeremy will jump in with a more accurate solution, as soon as
they wake up.
