Re: [Framers] FM2017 menu shift/search for commands

2017-02-21 Thread Peter Gold
For several years, now, InDesign has had the Quick Apply feature:

   1. Press Ctrl+Enter (Windows) or Command+Return (Mac OS), then type a
few unique characters within the command's name.

For example, typing "grep" brings up a list of available GREP commands, and
typing "en ch" (include the space) brings up the toggle hidd*en ch*aracter
command.

So, over the years, FM has sometimes led ID with features and capabilities,
and sometimes ID has led.

In terms of menu shifting confusion, one of the new features is a "Command
Search."

Apart from the menus being reshuffled and the hi-res screen preview, I
am not seeing a lot in the promo video that is "re-imagined".

I am guessing I will have the same level of confusion as I adjust to
yet more command/menu shifting that I have over the last several years.
