Hello,

In Frame 9 (Win), is there a keyboard shortcut for closing all open
pods/dialogs? I'm talking about, for example, Variables, Character
Designer, Paragraph Designer, etc.

I've tried to find this and failed.

Thank you, Tim

Tim,

I don't know of a shortcut to actually close them all, but you can use
Esc S M t to toggle between full-screen (no dialogs/pods visible) and
normal mode.

As a workaround, I have a Workspace I call "Clean", which I saved after
closing all the pods. As I work and open various pods, the UI becomes
cluttered with them; but a mouse-click on "Reset Workspace" cleans it
all up again.

Re: Keyboard shortcut for closing dialogs/pods

2012-05-04 Thread Craig Ede
The FM 5.5 UNIX Solaris version was so nice in that regard as you could use
the OS capabilities to assign shortcut key that were a single key and along
with Cntl/Alt and even add a shift to expand the options. I patterned mine
(mostly) after the Mac shortcut keys (substituting for the Apple key with
Cntl or Alt w/ or w/o shift). That is the kind of pattern they should shoot
for in shortcut keys when designing the interface, but some of this is
limited by the limitations of the OS. Is Windows that inflexible that this
can't be done?
