Hi Nadine,
Sadly, that doesn't help. The TableParaTag paragraph mark is properly spaced
one line below the very short paragraph, but the top of the table attached to
it is still aligned with the bottom of the longer side-header topic.

Don't anchor your table to the paragraph or heading. Create a paratag
specifically
for tables, and then attach your table to that.

Hi all,
FM 8.0p277 (I’m reasonably sure that my Windows edition
doesn’t matter on
this one.)
I put hints, notes and cautions in a 1x1 table with a
border in our software
manual. I also have side headers for Topics. In this case,
I have a longish
topic and a very short paragraph following it to which a
Hint table is
attached. The top of the Hint table is aligned to the
bottom of the topic,
not the bottom of the following paragraph. That creates a
large white space
between the paragraph and table which I’d really like to
eliminate.
I’ve looked at alignment settings until I’m blue in the
face. Help?
