graphics have random lines

2010-04-16 Thread Martha Lee
Hi All,

I'm running FrameMaker 9.0 on Windows XP 64-bit, and I'm having a problem
with graphics that show up with a random line on the right border of the
graphic. I import these graphics by reference, and I can't see the line
unless I print the page. The problem doesn't show up with every graphic. If
I open this graphic in PaintShop Pro, the line is nowhere to be seen, and if
I import the graphic into a Word doc and print the page, it isn't visible
either. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Re: graphics have random lines

2010-04-16 Thread Art Campbell
My first guess would be that your FM 9 may not be fully patched. There were
a number of issues related to graphics files addressed in the three patches
that have been released over the last year or so:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=22platform=Windows

Obviously the line shows up on screen, but does it also show in hard copy,
and/or in PDFs?

Hi All,

The latest patch from Adobe fixed this problem. Good riddance to a problem
that has been plaguing me for quite some time. Thanks to all for your help.

OK, be sure you're fully patched then. As mentioned, the patches addressed
some graphics handling; the right lines may have been one of the bugs
resolved, but I didn't have that issue so I can't swear to it.

I'm sorry, I meant to say the lines don't show up on screen from within
FrameMaker, only when I print from FrameMaker. They also show up in the PDF.

Thanks.

My first guess would be that your FM 9 may not be fully patched. There
were a number of issues related to graphics files addressed in the three
patches that have been released over the last year or so:

Obviously the line shows up on screen, but does it also show in hard
copy, and/or in PDFs?

Hi All,

I'm running FrameMaker 9.0 on Windows XP 64-bit, and I'm having a
problem
with graphics that show up with a random line on the right border of
the
graphic. I import these graphics by reference, and I can't see the
line
unless I print the page. The problem doesn't show up with every
graphic. If
I open this graphic in PaintShop Pro, the line is nowhere to be
seen, and if
I import the graphic into a Word doc and print the page, it isn't
visible
either. Any ideas?

Thanks.
