[Frameworks] Steenbecks?

2024-01-18 Thread Nicole Baker Peterson
Hello! I have seen some steenbecks on offer over time, and was wondering if
there are any currently collecting dust somewhere in the UK?
Any leads are appreciated.

[Frameworks] 35mm in the UK

2023-10-24 Thread Nicole Baker Peterson
Hello Frameworkers,

I am seeking 35mm film gear in the UK. Not cameras, but a projector and
editing equipment. Is there anything out there? Ideally something that is
more user friendly.

Thanks everyone!

[Frameworks] Night shooting

2021-08-01 Thread Nicole Baker Peterson
Hello Frame workers,

I'm looking for some advice regarding which film stocks to use while
shooting light displays (likely both LEDs and incandescents) at night.

I have a look something like the old (1905ish?) Edison "Coney Island at
Night" in mind, but in color and with a bit more depth and details.

Any advice is welcome! Thanks everybody.

To Jane and the greater Frameworks community,

My condolences to all. We lost an important member of the moving image
world recently and I for one am so grateful that I had the opportunity to
interact with Gene to the small degree being part of this listserv allowed.
Thank you everyone for sharing your memories and thoughts to the list.

Ugh, Chris I am so sorry to hear that! Working with Boathouse to organize a

I second looking at Evan Meaney. Video game imagery is very widespread
throughout glitch film work. The first glitch video was made using a video
game console! Digital TV Dinner

Re: [Frameworks] Seeking 16mm/8mm water textures - paying to license

2021-02-02 Thread Nicole Baker Peterson
Hi Carrie,
I shot a significant amount of water scenes on 16mm for my most recent
film. I have footage from the Oregon Coast, the Puget Sound between Seattle
and Victoria, BC, and Crater Lake. All of it was hand processed so it
includes a significant amount of "artifacts" and sometimes imperfect
exposure/development. There are no people in any of the shots.
You can view a sample here, but keep in mind the footage I have is quite
varied in terms of composition: https://vimeo.com/327166095
