[Frameworks] Experiments in Cinema now accepting submissions

2012-09-14 Thread Bryan Konefsky
Hi all - Basement Films' annual Experiments in Cinema is
now accepting submissions through December 15... But don't
delay! Be the first on your block to enter your film to
this Albuquerque-based, international film festival... See
www.experimentsincinema.com for more details.

Note that we have no restrictions on the length of your
works or the date it was completed... Submissions are $15
per entry and if you submit three or more works the entry
fee is only $10 each (cheap as per Alfred E Newman)...
Also international submissions and festival alumni never
pay submission fees!!

We hope to hear from all of you soon.
best,
bryan konefsky
director, Experiments in Cinema

Re: [Frameworks] Exper film/ art MA in the UK?

2012-09-14 Thread Cathy Rogers
Yep, I did the MA in Artists' Film, Video and Photography at UCA Maidstone,
graduated in 2009.  I think the format has changed slightly since the move to
Canterbury.  However Nicky Hamlyn is a professor there so worth getting in
touch with him. I know he still teaches on the course.

The one reason I went there was because of the tutors, Andrew Kotting, Christy
Johnson and Nicky, the same reason I'm now at the RCA, because of Nicky Hamlyn
and Al Rees.  Maidstone was a turning point for me in my practice.  Christy
Johnson was the course leader when I did the MA at Maidstone and she was
amazing. Not there now though.  Andrew Kotting is still a professor there too,
so worth checking just because of Nicky and Andrew I'd say.

Good luck.

Check UCA
its the former Maidstone course which has now moved to Canterbury.

I'd like to recommend  the MA at Falmouth but we only have digital video &
sound.
