Re: [Frameworks] Projecting 16mm in Europe

2015-10-21 Thread Diana Arce
Hi Meg,

You will need a voltage convertor and a big one at that - otherwise you will
destroy your projector - there are several places you can rent Eiki's here for
not too much money - Eidotech (http://www.eidotech.de/) is one and Labor
berlin http://www.laborberlin-film.org/ might be able to help.

I have a few Braun projectors in my possession if brand doesn't matter - drop
me a line off list at da...@visualosmosis.com

Best Regards,
Diana

Re: [Frameworks] Double 8mm

2015-10-21 Thread Jonathan Walley
Thanks everyone, for your recommendations on double-8 processing. And yes, I
believe this is repurposed ORWO stock.

My Bell & Howell Sundial 220 is loaded up and ready to roll.

All best,

Hi Margaret,
you will need a „Spannungswandler", and you can get them here.

Something like these here:
http://www.amazon.de/500-Watt-Spannungswandler-220V-120V/dp/B000L9C1NY/ref=pd_sim_147_1?ie=UTF8=0RKDEATS60M0WZSKT4WC=41rkUVZIY%2BL=sims=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_

http://www.amazon.de/300W-Spannungswandler-220V-110V-stepdown-Schwarz/dp/B005WQZ7O6/ref=pd_sim_147_1?ie=UTF8=115EGMCA4M986J7TXFBR=41huFYBIWTL=sims=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_

But I have no idea which one is the right one. Write down your projector specs
and ask at Conrad Electronic at Hermanplatz…

good luck!

[Frameworks] Projecting 16mm in Europe

2015-10-21 Thread Margaret Rorison
Dear All,

I am hoping to bring my Eiki slimline slot load 16mm projector (120 AC v)
with me to Berlin next month but I am not sure what I need in order to use
it there.

Will I need just an adaptor for my plug or do I also need a voltage
converter?

I know this is probably a simple problem, but I am not sure what I need to
bring with me/consider.

many thanks!
Meg
