Hi Nicole.

We've got a lot of great makers here in Portland, particularly women, that
you should connect with that are making work in the experimental mode.

Pam Minty  at PSU School of Film
Julie Perini  at PSU School of the Arts
Hannah Piper Burns  - ran the
Experimental Film Fest and currently has an exhibition at PAM (and a show
on Monday at the Whitsell Auditorium

!).

If you're looking to learn hand-processing, talk to Stephanie Hough at
the Northwest
Film Center . She regularly does workshops on it
there.

My day job is at the Film Center and I'm actually working on a series for
Sundays in October on Feminist Experimental film. This is in collaboration
with Dr. Kristin Hole at PSU School of Film - she teaches film studies
classes - and her new text on feminist filmmaking
.
She could be an excellent person to do in-depth readings.
