Regrettably, he did not. The fragment he did make was remarkable, though.

Hi all - thanks everyone for watching our first-ever online festival. We
had a record number of views from 50+ countries! And, although the event
ended yesterday, you can still make donations to ensure that EIC continues
for years to come. Additionally, note that in addition to other merchandise
(available on our website, www.experimentsincinema.org) our
brand-spanking-new fundraising collection is now available with more than
60 films from Experiments in Cinema.
Stay safe everyone,

There is an incredible (!!) film by Lyra Hill where all of the characters are
played by the director’s sister using careful in-camera superimposition and
masking - “Uzi’s Party”

Highly recommend

[Frameworks] Films or videos with one person playing all the parts

2020-06-23 Thread Joel Schlemowitz
Hi all,

A question relating to students creating videos with limited access to
other people due to the COVID-19 situation. . . . Looking for examples of
films or videos with one person playing all the parts.

There are video works by ASM Kobayashi and in Maya Deren in "Meshes of the
Afternoon" there are multiple versions of the protagonist created through
editing. But does anyone know of other interesting works where someone
playing all the parts has a dialogue with "themselves," so to speak?

Best,
Joel

[Frameworks] Bryan Konefsky's Experiments in Cinema v15.1

2020-06-23 Thread Dana Duff
Congratulations to Bryan Konefsky on a splendid rendition of Experiments
in Cinema under these challenging circumstances! It was skillfully
curated with a truly international group of films—so many!—and the Q
were thoughtfully conducted. Having attended this festival in
Albuquerque in the past, this year, so many filmmakers from all over the
world participated in the discussions that wouldn't have been able to
otherwise. Bryan really pulled it off. Thanks for leaving it up for 3
weeks, Bryan, so we had time to take in all of the films and
discussions! Bravo!
