It’s Not Really About Workers and Leaders: Recent Short Videos by Les LeVeque
Sunday, January 22nd at 7:30pm Les LeVeque in attendance for discussion with media artists/theorists Keith Sanborn and Thomas Zummer. Union Docs ($9 suggested donation) 322 Union Ave, Brooklyn 11206 Influential video artist Les LeVeque has been pushing boundaries in single channel and installation work since the early 90’s. He joins us Sunday to present recent video work <http://t.ymlp269.net/wwhsanaejeuaoauwqadamwjw/click.php>where various forms of the experiential are placed in relation to the social, political and cultural resonances of appropriated media in pursuit of a multiplicity of narratives. A re-edit of the Workers Leaving The Lumière’s Factory, a flicker exploration of Lenin’s passing, and an ambient music video constructed with archival footage of Mao Zedong are amongst pieces that will be screened. LeVeque will be paired in conversation following with media artists/theorists Keith Sanborn and Thomas Zummer. This event is curated with Adam Khalil.
