Dominic, I had expected to find it at Canyon, but I do not see it listed in the Beroes films listed on the website catalog. Re: [Frameworks] Green and Orange Films
I thought for sure that someone would chime in with Hollis Frampton's "Carrots and Peas." It is less thematically and more literally orange and green, respectively (assuming you are not watching a faded print). http://www.hulu.com/watch/497488 James Kreul kre...@gmail.com On Sat Jan 31 2015 at 1:03:49 PM Andy Ditzler wrote: > "Orange" by Karen Johnson, 1971 > > Andy Ditzler > > On Sat, Jan 31, 2015 at 3:39 AM, Benjamin Popp > wrote: > >> I'm looking for films with a theme of the color Green or Orange. >> Any ideas? >> ben >> >> ___ >> FrameWorks mailing list >> FrameWorks@jonasmekasfilms.com >> https://mailman-mail5.webfaction.com/listinfo/frameworks >> >> > > > -- > > Andy Ditzler > www.filmlove.org > www.johnq.org > Graduate Institute of the Liberal Arts, Emory University > ___ > FrameWorks mailing list > FrameWorks@jonasmekasfilms.com > https://mailman-mail5.webfaction.com/listinfo/frameworks > ___ FrameWorks mailing list FrameWorks@jonasmekasfilms.com https://mailman-mail5.webfaction.com/listinfo/frameworks

Re: [Frameworks] PacLab's approach to customer service.
Not that I want a response to this, but when someone is criticized by name and quoted like this on a public discussion forum for his potential clients, I have to assume I'm not the only one to think: What happened during the confrontation before that quote that prompted him to give you that response? (Why wouldn't he want you as a customer?) Again, I'm not personally interested in the details. But I'm not sure if it is good form to post such a quote without more context. Even Angie's List would want more information in a negative review. Re: [Frameworks] Film and Digital for beginners
I've been enjoying the thread. Kudos to Jonathan for knowing how to get a summertime Frameworks thread going. I offer these two links not in response to specific points in the discussion so far, but because the discussion came to mind as I came across these in the past few days. First, via Bad Lit: http://prolost.com/blog/2011/3/28/your-new-tv-ruins-movies.html Avoiding for a moment the idea of how the films "should look," I thought Jonathan might find this useful in explaining that big box electronics stores have their own aesthetic of the image. Second, via Roger Ebert: http://blogs.suntimes.com/ebert/2012/07/the_mega-epic_pissing_contest.html Not so much film vs. digital, but this relates to the idea about the range of digital projection options. Re: [Frameworks] Shirley Clarke and Expo '67
She worked with Graeme Ferguson, later of IMAX, mostly as an editor as I understand it. I have some photocopied material from the Shirley Clarke papers at the Wisconsin Center for Film and Theater research related to this (currently in storage, however). Follow up with me off list.
