[Frameworks] The Palestine-Israel (Film Processing) Question.
Dearest Frameworkers, I'm headed to Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories on a residency for a set of weeks and was thinking that it'd be a good idea to shoot and hand-process some B/W 16mm film while I'm there. I'm traveling via the King Hussein bridge and reckon it'll be much easier to purchase film stock and chemistry in Israel than to bring it in (or out) via Jordan, and I was wondering if any of you have had any experience sourcing chemicals and stock over there. My internet searches haven't turned up much... Please let me know what you know! An Israeli friend of mine has sent me the following, to help you with your question: As far as i know there is no place that sells film or can process film in Israel. However I'd suggest to contact Shai, a long time AMIA member and a knowledgeable Israeli man in the field. He's very communicative person.
