As with most people, I would rather be able to do things on my own
than ask for help, but I have no other choice at this point.
I am 18 years old and 5 months pregnant with my first child; it's a
boy. My boyfriend and I are trying to do the best we can, but since I
don't work, one paycheck is hard to stretch. [I have a hard time
standing for more than an hour and I tend to get very dizzy
unexpectedly. To my surprise, a lot of employers aren't very willing
to hire someone with these problems. I am currently looking for a job,
but so far, nothing has worked out.]
We have a lot of the big items: crib, playpen, strollers, highchair,
swing, etc -- all of which my mother bought for us off Craigslist.
She's given us so much already that I feel really guilty asking her to
help us out even more. My boyfriend's family isn't very supportive, so
we can't ask them for anything, either.
Here are the things we mainly need:
- Clothes -- my son will be born in June, so I will need summer type
clothes, sizes newborn to 3 months. Fall/winter clothes - 3 to 9
months. (onesies would be fantastic)
- Bottles diaper bag -- preferably a bigger one, blue, black,
whatever is fine.
- Diapers wipes -- any sizes (hopefully newborn) and any brand will
work.
- Any other small stuff would also be greatly appreciated. ie:
pacifiers, safety kit, etc.
I don't expect to get anything, but I figure it couldn't hurt to try.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
