Re: Re: Power OFF button on very old motherboard with FreeBSD 7.2
Hello, I unfortunately have no FreeBSD 4x installation now, but I have find something like I have: http://old.nabble.com/ACPI-error-td22756817r3.html but I don't understand how to use it :(( I am real new in FreeBSD and any other *nix system :(( On Sunday 02 May 2010 9:12:15 pm new...@qip.ru wrote: Hallow, I am new in any mailing lists and I unfortunately don't know how to post as a followup :(( But ther is an error in dump: # acpidump -t acpidump: Can't find ACPI information I think it is because the dump is not supported by my kernel :( Hmm, does acpidump work under 4.x? We have to be able to find the ACPI tables to support soft-off via the power button. On Friday 30 April 2010 2:22:09 pm new...@qip.ru wrote: Can you try booting with 'hint.apic.0.disabled=1' set in loader.conf? Also, if you could obtain a full dmesg that would be helpful. Can you please get the output of acpidump -t and post it to the mailing list as a followup? -- John Baldwin Thank you, I add hint.apic.0.disabled=1 (without ) to the end of loader.conf, now it looks like: acpi_load=YES apm_load=YES alias_ftp_load=YES hint.apic.0.disabled=1 my fulll DMESG: # dmesg Copyright (c) 1992-2009 The FreeBSD Project. However, hw.acpi.thermal.tzo.temperature reports incorrect temperature.
