Kernel won't boot - ACPI Problem ?
Hi Folks, I was unable to boot the kernel for sometime, so I tried doing an unset acpi_load and the kernel booted fine. Hi, I compiled the kernel last nite and I haven't been able to boot into the system with that kernel. USB ScrollMouse , XFree86 and -current
Hi Folks, I just got an USB ScrollMouse and am trying to get the Scrollmouse to work in X. It does not seem to work. It only scrolls down and does not scroll up. Is it a known problem ? Or Is this cause moused is supposedly broken ? I have this in my /etc/rc.conf moused_flags=-t intellimouse -z 4 and my XF86Config has this. Section InputDevice Identifier Mouse0 Driver mouse Option Protocol Auto Option ZAxisMapping 4 5 Option Device /dev/sysmouse Option Emulate3Buttons no EndSection Any Misconfiguraiton ? Mine is a HP scrollmouse with 2 Buttons and a Scroll, which also acts as the middle button. I have checked the archives, but to no avail. GCC upgrade ? on -current
Hi, Just a query. Is there anything stopping us from moving to the latest gcc on current ? Just curious. Cause mozilla won't compile with gcc from current and I have installed gcc from the ports just for that. I've investigated a couple of these already and they were all places where we intended to grab two inp locks. So, for the most part, these warning are harmless. As John said though, panics are serious, so if you get any of those, please report them to me directly, as I only monitor this list periodically. Just came today and my computer has rebooted, asking me for the power-on password. These are the warnings or panic messages I see.
