acpi_thermal - panic on Compaq Evo N800c

2003-07-02 Thread Sid Carter
Hi,

I am running FreeBSD-Current on my Compaq Evo N800c laptop.

I am having problems getting it to work with ACPI. I have compiled my
own acpi_dsdt.aml file using iasl and am using it. I keep getting this

Any solution to this ?

Hi,

Was able to get ACPI working with FreeBSD on my Compaq Evo N800c. I have
put up the stuff at my site here -

Of course, now, acpi_thermal seems to be giving me problems, as it
crashes every 5 minutes. Will see if I can get a trace and post the same

Apologies for the delayed response as I was offline. I installed the

and this error I get when I try to suspend the TP.

acpi0: AcpiGetSleepTypeData failed - AE_NOT_FOUND

But then, the TP shuts down properly with ACPI if I poweroff with the
button.

Anything else I am missing ?

David yeah, I've been getting the same thing with 4.7 and 5.0 on a few machines

David What is the type of machine you are running on? Most of mine were IBM's.

Hi,

Yes. My machine is an IBM too. It is an IBM Netvista. So, is this
problem specific to IBM Machines ?

Kernel won't boot - ACPI Problem ?

USB ScrollMouse , XFree86 and -current

Hi Folks,

I just got an USB ScrollMouse and am trying to get the Scrollmouse to
work in X. It does not seem to work. It only scrolls down and does not
scroll up. Is it a known problem ?
Or Is this cause moused is supposedly broken ?

I have this in my /etc/rc.conf

moused_flags=-t intellimouse -z 4

and my XF86Config has this.

Section InputDevice
Identifier Mouse0
Driver mouse
Option Protocol Auto
Option ZAxisMapping 4 5
Option Device /dev/sysmouse
Option Emulate3Buttons no
EndSection

Any Misconfiguraiton ?

Mine is a HP scrollmouse with 2 Buttons and a Scroll, which also acts as
the middle button. I have checked the archives, but to no avail.

Thanks in Advance
