APCI vs APM
Hi! I saw many stuff about acpi in dmesg since I changed to 5.0 So I assume it's newer than APM. # man zzz -- APM(8) FreeBSD System Manager's Manual APM(8) NAME apm, zzz - control the APM BIOS and display its information [..] -- How do I make my laptop suspend ? # zzz zzz: can't open /dev/apm: Permission denied # su Password: # zzz zzz: ioctl(APMIO_SUSPEND): Invalid argument I don't really know the difference(s) between APCI and APM but can ACPI suspend a computer as well ? How should I proceed to make my laptop sleep ? :) Thanx -- Pierrick Brossin IT Swiss - QUARK Media House 6a Puits Godet, 2000 Neuchatel, Switzerland Mail Prof: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mail Priv: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To Unsubscribe: send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
