No pccard with last night's kernel

2003-09-08 Thread Doug Barton
With a kernel updated last night, I get the following every time I try
to put in a wireless card, in either slot:

pccard0: can't alloc memory to read attributes
pccard0: CARD ERROR!
cbb0: PC Card card activation failed
pccard1: can't alloc memory to read attributes
pccard1: CARD ERROR!
cbb1: PC Card card activation failed

The same card (a netgear ma401ra) mostly works in -stable, also from
last night.

I'll try upgrading tonight when I get home, but meanwhie, any hints?

Doug

Looks like you can't get memory to read the card attributes. You need
to fix that problem :-). Did a prior version work? Which one? Using
ACPI or not?

Re: No pccard with last night's kernel

2003-09-09 Thread Doug Barton
Argh. I got this working again by putting the
hw.pci.allow_unsupported_io_range back into my /boot/loader.conf.local
file. I had it in there originally thinking it would help with my acpi
problems, but when the new .aml file fixed the acpi issues, I took it
out.

I attached two files, one is the result in the logs when I insert the
card, and the other is a verbose dmesg, just in case it's useful.

Sorry for the false alarm,

Doug
