src/sys/dev/ata/ata-all.c, rev 1.188 src/sys/dev/ata/ata-lowlevel.c, rev 1.8 After an exhaustive binary search, I've found this is the commit that broke probing for my SATA disk. Merely reverting the change on the latest kernel doesn't compile, however. :-\ Hope this is more helpful, Soren... I'll just stick with the Sep 1 00:00 UTC kernel for now.
