Hi Olzhas,

I have started trying to make a port, but fallen short as it requires
libxml++ >= 2.38.1. I have submitted a bug report to update libxml++ in the
ports tree here: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=218165

I will continue trying to build a port for scram again once libxml++ has
been updated.

Out of interest, I am a TÜV FSEng (#6282/13), so I was very interested to
hear about your program.

Regards,
Ben

Hi Vladimir,

I have just added you to the ContributorsGroup, which should give you
access to edit wiki pages.

Happy documenting!

I believe that step is only required before step 13 "# make
delete-old-libs".

Regardless, a far bigger update to that handbook chapter is being prepared
here:

Should be all done for you Aleksander:
https://wiki.freebsd.org/action/info/ContributorsGroup?action=diff&rev2=369&rev1=368

Please start by creating your profile page, which introduces yourself (you
can have a look at a few other people's for inspiration):

Let me know if you have any difficulties.

I think you also need the following in rc.conf:
gdm_enable="YES"

I'm not sure what you mean. I regularly use man.freebsd.org to read
manpages.

E.g. if I want to read the manpage for the find(1) command, I will simply
goto:
man.freebsd.org/find

Easy. Done!

[handbook] Replace mergemaster(8) with etcupdate(8)

2016-03-19 Thread Ben Woods
Hi everyone,

I was hoping I could interest a few people into reviewing a patch I have
submitted for the handbook, to update the handbook "Chapter 23. Updating
and Upgrading FreeBSD" to replace the instructions for using mergemaster(8)
with etcupdate(8).

I would be grateful if people could have a look and give comments /
recommendations for improvements

Ben
