Just upgraded to Firefox 123.0.1 (following the quarterly branch build), and
now screen sharing works again. Thanks to all!

[Bug 277121] www/firefox: fails to build on /quarterly (2024Q1) due to libvpx < 1.14.0

--- Comment #2 from Dennis Clarke  ---

commit 68b7643e77d0c23826074278ce036a6fdeacd5a9 (HEAD -> 2024Q1, origin/2024Q1)
Author: Christoph Moench-Tegeder

www/firefox: lower libvpx version requirement

even if it's less what is bundled with firefox, but this should
allow packaging

So I see :

https://cgit.freebsd.org/ports/tree/www/firefox/Makefile?h=2024Q1

And poudriere seems to be happy :

[00:00:47] [01] [00:00:00] Building www/firefox | firefox-123.0.1,2

[Bug 277075] www/firefox: build failure on 14-STABLE

2024-03-04 Thread bugzilla-noreply

--- Comment #13 from Anton Saietskii  ---
Created attachment 248916
  --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=248916=edit
poudriere build success log (with LDFLAGS trick applied)

(In reply to Charlie Li from comment #12)
Makes sense, but real root cause here is different. Still failed for me with
LTO=off everywhere.

(In reply to Martin Neubauer from comment #7)
With LDFLAGS applied (simply in my poudriere's make.conf, though it doesn't
really matter), Fx builds successfully. I think now coming something tougher --
finding a strong enough rationale to get this pushed to ports.
