Re: Mosix in FreeBSD.
Out of the ether, Marco Molteni spewed forth the following bitstream: Mosix started on BSD/OS, and was then rewritten for Linux. I think the BSD/OS version has died, but you may ask the Mosix people, now that the *BSD are getting more attention... I spoke to the author (one of the authors?) of Mosix at LinuxWorld this last week, and he was sorry to say that it was *NOT* available on *BSD* to the public any longer. However, the code is still up and running on BSD/OS at the University. AlanC To Unsubscribe: send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe freebsd-hackers" in the body of the message

Re: US$100 prize for adding ESS Audiodrive support to pcm
Out of the ether, Andrzej Bialecki spewed forth the following bitstream: On a simmilar note: what about a driver for ESS Maestro 2E? I'm certainly willing to pay twice as much ($200) for working sound in most of laptops within my reach... Add $100 from me. There is one that works for some folks out there by [EMAIL PROTECTED], but it does not work for me. Re: An IA-64 port?
Out of the ether, W Gerald Hicks spewed forth the following bitstream: I don't know if the gas support is public, but you can certainly get the Intel assembler for IA-64, which has been open sourced under the BSD license from developer.intel.com. Anyone know the URL for this? I've got all the documentation but can't seem to find the Intel assembler release. Re: GPS heads up
Out of the ether, Matthew Dillon spewed forth the following bitstream: That's what my brother Ben told me, though he used the example of an 18 wheeler plowing into my (airbagless) Subaru. I think he's going to force me to buy a new car :-) Seeing his input to the FreeBSD community, I think we should take up a collection and buy Matt a new car with safety devices. Or, at least a bicycle helmet. AlanC -- \ Alan B.
