Port Request - Handrake GUI version
Hi Ports! Please don't ask me if I have time to spend on this. :-( However, when I rip things to H.264 or MP4, I use Handbrake on Windoze XP. It is so freakin' slow and CPU intensive that I want to scream. It's running on a dual-proc AMD Athlon II with 4 GB of RAM (or however much a 32-bit version will see). I see that they have this for Ubuntu and MAC as well as Windoze. Is there anyone that can get the GUI version running on KDE for FreeBSD? It would be just another thing I can get away from MS on. For those who really want KDE3, and are feeling motivated to keeping it around, have you (being those interested in KDE3) looked at the Trinity project? http://trinity-beta.pearsoncomputing.net/about.php As the main KDE devs have dropped support for KDE 3, with KDE 3.5.10 being the final release, the Trinity folks have forked it and are actively working on it. Re: PHP52 vulnerability
I question the vulnerability. I don't think it applies. the alert is from 2006, and there isn't a POC I have tested against php52- 5.2.17 with nulls in it that seems to trigger anything but 404 errors. (please don't try on ours... this is not a challenge. but if you have a POC, let me know and _I_ will try it) so, php 5.3? big differences! BIG. look at /usr/ports/UPDATING to see. php_ini needs changes also. On 3/3/11 3:09 PM, Andrea Venturoli wrote: Is there any news on the horizon? PHP52 vulnerability
Hello. As you probably know, it looks like php52 is vulnerable: Affected package: php52-5.2.17 Type of problem: php -- NULL byte poisoning. Reference: http://portaudit.FreeBSD.org/3761df02-0f9c-11e0-becc-0022156e8794.html Is there any news on the horizon? Will a new version be released and/or the port updated? Any possible patch? Don't get me wrong, I'm not sentimentally tied to this version of php. Rather, the problem is the fun the dev team must have experienced going a long way into deprecation of tons of things, which, by the way, breaks almost any non trivial application I know of (a couple of examples being KnowledgeTree and Horde). On some box I tried the switch and had to go back immediately. bye & Thanks av. ___ freebsd-ports@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-ports To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-ports-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"
