All files which were rebuilt not so long ago are on the list for rebuilding (ICU) again. Is it not possible to update pcre, icu, cyrus-sasl at the same time, please? What is the next one... I read /usr/ports/UPDATING: portmaster -r cyrus-sasl- which I did and I have many problems now because update don't going nowhere and I don't know how to save a problem(s). I started yesterday portmaster -r png- on FreeBSD 9.0 release and first error was GhostScript which looks like cannot build with clang and when I switched back to GCC was okay but it stopped on GraphicsMagic13: test-suite.log: 1 of 724 tests failed. .. contents:: :depth: 2 FAIL: test/rwlob_MNG_palete.sh (exit: 1) Failed to write BLOB in format. I saw new gdal in ports... My question is: in the /usr/ports/UPDATING is first uninstall libungif and than install giflib and reinstall all ports. Is it correct to use portmaster -o graphics/giflib graphics/libungif And thew next question is I have in /var/db/pgs bot giflib and libingif. How can I find whic one is installed, please? I had fresh installed FreeBSD 9.0-RC3 ad than I updated to 9.0-Release. I ran portsnap fetch update and portmaster -a and xcb was updated. It happened day before when was /usr/ports/UPDATING update wtih portmaster -R -r xcb-util.0 which I ran yesterday and it happened what I wrote before. kde 4.5.4
Yesterdays update to KDE 4.5.4 from 4.5.3 was without problems but when I start KDE (startx) it show splash screen than turn to black with mouse cursor which works, I heard sound when looks KDE start and that is it. I switch to console to close (ctrl-c) KDE. I try to start with a new user but it is the same problem. I also try to start KMail with ALT-F2 - kmail and when I look in console if it is running was there. Thanks in advance. . Thanks. Another job for masochists... As I red in /usr/ports/UPDATING I should run portmaster -r libgcrypt. I did and there were 50 to 70 ports (many of them KDE4 related). As usual it was not successful. For example openldap want firs uninstall and install again (it happened during night) and about ten others. There is a new jpeg 8 and you need to rebuild with for example portmaster -r jpeg-\* if you use a portmaster (there are instructions in /usr/ports/UPDATING). But antwhere I have a problem with arts where I get an error 1. I am trying again and will sent what kind of error I got.
