Hello list, I'm just wondering why some ports are still using openldap-client23 (i.e pam_ldap nss_ldap) instead of openldap-client24 ? Is there any valid entry in make.conf to have openldap-client24 instead of openldap-client23? Hello list, It seems that graphics/dvipng is deleted from the ports tree, because it is already included in the teTeX distribution. see here (http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-ports/2006-December/037462.html) But teTeX require xorg-libraries and I think xorg-libraries are too much now for a web server. Hello list, I have this error when i try to use scilab: /usr/local/bin/scilab: /usr/local/lib/scilab/pvm3/lib/pvmgetarch: not found /libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libgfortran.so.2" not found, required by "scilex" I try to use it under freebsd 6.2-STABLE, xorg 7.2, kde 3.5.6. Re: HEADS UP: xorg 7.2 ready for testing (could not open default font 'fixed' error)
A fresh install of freebsd without xorg at the first time and after pkg_add -r xorg (with latest stbale packages) seem to solve my problem. May be I did mistakes the first time while upgrading to xorg-7.2 I am trying kde now. Hello list, 1-I've successfully upgraded my ports tree 2-use /usr/ports/Tools/scripts/mergebase.sh and make required sym-link to /usr/local/lib/X11 3- run X -configure 4- run X -config xorg.conf.new but i have an error: could not open default font 'fixed' I forgot something?
