HI
I have just upgraded kde to 4.3.5 using portupgrade and am hitting problems.
At first a users .xinitrc pointed to the previous location for startkde4
instead of /usr/local/kde4/bin. A startx resulted in a system crash. After
changing the path the system no longer crashes BUT:
1. after
% startx
kde4 tries to load showing the usual background and diskdrive/toolkit/etc
images center screen HOWEVER the screen then turns completely black and THEN
launches a minimal green splash screen instead of the usual kde plasma.
2. There is a console window BUT the keyboard does not work!
3. Ctrl alt backspace does not work - The easisest way was to log on
remotely and reboot the system.
4. konqueror launches
Are there some configuration changes I have missed?
System is freebsd 7.2-RELEASE-p3 generic amd64 on intel quad core
