Disable kontact/kmail automatic activation
Hello all, I am running FreeBSD 7.1-PRERELEASE #2 with KDE: 3.5.10. A few *PORTUPGRADEs* ago , I can't recall when, I noticed that when KDE is started, usually after system startup , kontact application is started automatcally, which I 'd like to disable. Kde is started from /etc/ttys, and I have no automatic activation for any apps from $HOME/.kde/Autostart. I 'd like to be able to call kmail at my own will. Can you please tell how can I disable kontact automatic activation? thanx, -- Benzi Mizrahi, computing center, Weizmann Institute of Science, Tel: 972-8-9342456 Rehovot, Israel.Fax: 972-8-9344102 Windows: "Where do you want to go today?" Installing specific ports
Hi, ?I am fairly new to FreeBSD. I started playing around with it about ?3 or 4 month ago. I've installed 5.0-release on my DELL latitude C800, ?on wich I already had installed ?win2k and RedHat 8.0. ? ? I must say that I 'll like this OS better ( I usually work on Solaris). ?After upgrading to 5.1-BETA2 and yesterday to 5.1-release ?I was unable to install any ports . ?When doing make instyall clean from any port I receive these lines: ?ella# make There is a COMMENTFILE in this port. COMMENTFILEs have been deprecated in favor of COMMENT variables. Please, rectify this. *** Error code 1 Stop. ?this is going on since I upgraded to 5.1-beta2 and now on 5.1-release. This is my first question to this list, I have one more to go but it'll wait ?for next time. ?thanx for any help Benzi Mizrahi, Tel: 972-8-9342456 computing center, Fax: 972-8-9344102 Weizmann Institute of Science, /\ Rehovot, Israel. \/ ___ [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
