Seeing that you run successfully 7.1 on a X300 is excellent ! Did you manage
to get suspend/resume aka hibernation working somehow ?

Hello

I recently used MP3::Splitter, a perl module that does exactly this. 
It's not a full software tho but maybe then you can make it suits 
exactly your needs.
