QLogic lies: now it's up to you
In October 2007 I have established contact with QLogic, to investigate whether they could help us in making iSCSI HBAs work in OpenBSD by donating some hardware and by providing free programming documentation. Unfortunately, Qlogic has chosen to be difficult. This means, I am forced to make this private communication public to show our user base the truth about how I and all OpenBSD people have been led along and lied to by QLogic. Now it's up to us (=you) to show that we won't put up with that. This is the original email conversation between me and QLogic, mainly Pompey S. Compiling mod_proxy WITHOUT apache2
Hi there, I successfully run an apache2 server on freebsd 4.10. Now I realised that I've forgot to compile mod_proxy. Is there a way to only compile the module without compiling whole apache2 and destroying my current binary? Maybe a stupid question - I am rather new to bsd .. Thanks for any hint! -- Stephan A. XFree86-libraries-4.4.0_1 (xpm)
Hi list, i am having difficulties in installing the XFree86-libraries-4.4.0_1 port on FreeBSD-4.10: aragorn# make === XFree86-libraries-4.4.0_1 has known vulnerabilities: xpm --- image decoding vulnerabilities. Reference: http://www.FreeBSD.org/ports/portaudit/ef253f8b-0727-11d9-b45d-000c41e2cdad.html Please update your ports tree and try again. *** Error code 1 So I updated the ports tree via cvsup and checked the version of the Makefile which is 1.143, the latest one. Also the patch-xpm-sec.patch4 file is included in the files/ dir. Everything seems to be up to date. What I am doing wrong? Thanks for any help! -- Stephan A.
