On 8.0 with KDE 4.3.1 package installed I have problems with Firefox fonts. Though I installed URW and freetype fonts according to handbook and declared them on xorg.conf, Firefox 3.5.4 cant display some pages properly,ie text is not displayed. So that must be a problem with fonts, because those pages are displayed (well) with Konqueror.
