Have you considered the possibility that it's because you are running 802.11b, which is stuck at 11Mbps. Rough math puts that at 1MB/s. Rougher math says after overhead etc., perhaps theres a large CONCRETE wall between yourself and the WAP. All things to consider. I haven't ever used wireless on anything other than my laptop, but I do notice this > TX rate (selection): [ 11 ] > TX rate (actual speed): [ 2 ] Could that be assumed to be 11Mbps selected, and 2Mbps actual speed.
