SMP kernel option

2004-01-19 Thread Didier WIROTH
Hi,
I'm a bit confused.

In /usr/src/sys/i386/conf/NOTES it is written:
# Be sure to disable 'cpu I386_CPU' for SMP kernels.

Do they mean you have to completely remove the cpu option from the custom
file, at this time I'm using this in my custom kernel:
cpu I686_CPU
options SMP
device apic

Can I leave this? Or should I only have:
#cpu I686_CPU no it is disabled no cpu option
options SMP
device apic

thx

Yes, you can leave this, other wise it would say remove any cpu line or
remove cpu Ix86_CPU lines.
