Hi, I'm running a FreeBSD 6.0-RELEASE Server with a
fxp0: <Intel 82559ER Pro/100 Ethernet> port 0x2000-0x203f mem 0xf4120000-0xf4120fff,0xf4100000-0xf411ffff irq 9 at device 8.0 on pci1 and have some rather unusual network performance issue with outbound traffic. Using fixed IP-Adresses, no special flags set with network adapters. Using regular FTP-Client putting data to another server performance is OK (10,3MB/sec - wire limit) Using wput with the same file and same target, throughput is 2,7MB/ec And finally: Using a mount_smbfs mount and cp'ing the data there, we are down to 184KB/sec Fetching that file performance is quite OK (Regular FTP-Client: 10MB/sec, fetch: 6,3MB/sec, cp is at 5,8MB/sec Some parms' (all at default) net.inet.tcp.sendspace: 32768 net.inet.tcp.recvspace: 65536 net.smb.version: 103006 net.smb.tcprcvbuf: 65535 net.smb.tcpsndbuf: 65535 Thanks in advance for any hints _______________________________________________ freebsd-questions@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-questions To unsubscribe, send any mail to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
