RE: 3.2 -> 3.3-stable

1999-12-09 Thread Christopher Michaels

Which reminds me. Now that -RC is coming. I remember someone was trying to
co-ordinate some beta testing. Alas, I forgot who that was an if he (or
she) was still co-ordinating it?

If so, I wonder if there is anything I could do, other than "make world"
that would be of use?

RE: Stability problems in 3.3-R?

1999-09-25 Thread Christopher Michaels

Well, I had 3.3-RC on my box and now I have 3.3-RELEASE. I had no problems
at all except for one and that I tracked down to what I'll call user error.
I also have similar hardware as you do.

k6/2-300, 64mb ram, fic 503+ w/ VIA MVP4 chipset.

It may help to get a panic and possibly a crash dump to the list to get
someone's opinion on the errors your getting.

But to answer your original question, I don't believe there are issues
specific to 3.3-RC (or release) with your hardware that would cause frequent
(if any) panics.

RE: make release grabbing all ports?

1999-09-23 Thread Christopher Michaels

Well, I wouldn't call it comprehensive but there is something in the FAQ
about it.

RE: Quotas.

1999-08-17 Thread Christopher Michaels

I suppose anything is possible. I don't think it's likely. I have quota
running on a 21GB /usr partition w/o any trouble what so ever.

It might help if you sent the actual problem you are having back to the
mailing list.
